Vaastushastra - The Ancient Science of Architecture from India

When the location, layout, and design of any building is in harmony with its natural surroundings and the energy fields that permeate the world around it then the dwellers experiences peace, happiness and success. This basic principle explored since 5000 BC in India and applied to building of cities, houses, temples, and other facilities was codified in the Vaastushastra. We will apply some of these basic principles to see if your home is in harmony with Nature and also explore what Feng Shui, ancient Greek principles, and even today’s modern design sensibilities share in common with Vaastushastra.

Block Printed Scarves-To-Go

Each participant receives a kit with a white pure cotton "dupatta" or a long scarf and a hand-carved wood block to make their beautiful creation. Learn about the history of print making and the technique of block printing while making your own scarf. Best of all, at the end of the workshop you can walk out wearing a beautiful scarf or with a gift for a friend or or a loved one!
